Inspiring art weekend in St.Moritz
Celebrities and monarchs love to spend their winter holidays in St.Moritz: once skated here Lohn Legend, and Elizabeth Taylor, Coco Chanel and Alfred Hitchcock, Swedish Royal Family – the list of local patrons is endless.
Annually on winter holidays KSHtN together with Hauser & Wirth handle a private group of collectors and art lovers to unfold the art side of the Engadine valley. Contemporary art gallery Hauser & Wirth was founded in 1992 in Zurich by Ivan and Manuela Wirth and Ursula Hauser, during which time it managed to open nine branches and become one of the most significant private galleries in the world. The visionary strategy of engaging collectors into the art world alowed these art weekends to happen.
The program introduces the rich cultural side of the Engadine and opens doors to most amazing places: private tours in the museums and foundations, visits to the artists studios and some most historical places of St. Moritz and the surrounding towns. Director of the London office of Hauser & Wirth, Stefano Rabolli-Panser gives private lectures for our guests on contemporary art and its collecting.
Most unique experience of the program is a visit to the Tarasp Castle, owned by the outstanding Swiss sculptor Not Vital where he personally walks you through this historical landmark where he lives and works.
